BBQ for lunch
Craving BBQ, we went looking for this bbq place for lunch. And about 10 minutes fomr the apartment we found this place where you bbq at the table. We barbecued all kinds of food: Lamb-, beef-, chicken-, mushrooms- and aubergine scewers.
Just realized that everyting is about food...lol. We live fo it, plan the day after it and constantly talk about it. lol.

New glasses, aoooch!
Good morning everyone, I'm up early today...if 9.00am is early then yes. lol. One pair of my new glasses is hurting my right side of the nose...hmmm, I guess I'm just not used to wearing glasses since my old ones are like 5 years and I don't see shit in them, which was the reason why I wasn't wearing em' haha. But starting from yesterday, I will have glasses for at least 2 times a week...gotta start saving my eyes from the contacts.I'm getting sleepy again...it's 10.39 m now...should I take a nap perhaps? Yes maybe I will, since Lan and Shamash is sitting on the balcony writting their paper.

Hoopin in Shanghai
Got up at 9am to play some hoops. We went ran to this street court about 5 blocks from the apartment, and man, did people look weird at us? Ok, normally they look weird at us, but today in running gear, running on the sidewalk...I don't wanna know what they thought of us. lol. We could play on the court for 5 CNY/hour. So we stayed there quite some time, the 3 or us and 2 kids hoopin on a basket...you should have seen us. Girls in tights playing basketball...imagine that. lol.
Then we decided to go or a walkand see if we could find something interesting to eat. Well, everything is interesting here in China, but seing new things everyday when I'm here, that's a-have-to. We passed this bright pink skyskrape on our mission to find food. Hah, sounds like we're out hunting for food...but we kinda where. I also saw some huge frogs, bull frogs, that people eat. All these animals are alive and you can pick the one you want and bring I guess. Gotta say it's nasty, eeeeeww, i can hardly look at all the alive eals, frogs, fishes, turtles, clay fishs and snails...just waiting to be chosen and die. Either at the restaurant or in someones home.
And today, first evening, we didn't go out and eat. We went to Tesco and bought some grocerys and cooked a delicious dinner @ home. Great success! Oh, and we also got this thing to the toilet, can't be flushed...we needed something to loosen up the big "plug" in on of the toilets...well, let me say it's still "boiling" in it...maybe a call to the plummer one of the days should be on our list, so he can come here and work some magic =)

Shanghai Shi Liu Pu Cloth Market
Woke up at 9 am and had a panncake for breakfast, Lan had been out this morning and got 3 panncakes. Yummie! Then we read on www.smartshanghai.com to see what we could do today and we decided to go to the tailor, Shanghai Shi Liu Pu Cloth Market. It was 4 floors of fabrics, tailors and cloths. You could find any fabrics you wanted here, they will make anything for you...a paradise basically.

Me and Lan found this food market if you can call it that...a lot of small places outside where you can get all types of food. Noodles, bread, dumplings, bbq, drinks, tee...anything that you can cook on 2 wheels or under a sun umbrella, lol. The best was definitley the lamb sticks, for only 2 CNY a piece, which is 2,3 SEK...hells yeah I could eat it all day, every day! Healthy cheap food, me like!
We planned on going to play some hoops today, but it started to rain. So we went home had some tee and then took a nap...woke up hungry and then Me, Lan and Shamash went to this super good restaurant where the chef cooked the food for us on the big cooking bench in front of us, Teppanyaki.
That food was was the tasties that I have tasted so far. Ok I say that to everything but you know, new food everyday and always find something that beats the other...hehe.
It's been a pretty good day!

Closer
Guess whne I woke up today, or more to be correct, when Lan knocked on my door to wake me up...2.30pm!!! Yes, I'm Mr. sleepy heads twin. Dont know what was going on but i was tired as hell. At 5pm we decided to go and have some Indian food...yummie, that I say. Then we went looking for tailos that can make us bags. Found one so now we're searching the net for more inspiration. Me and Lan found this basketball court so tomorrow we'll go and shoot some hoops! To buy a Molten Fiba ball, will be 85 RMB, which is about 90 Swedish kronor...talk about cheap. lol.

Tonight, we watched a movie, Closer. It was a very weird one...
I'm so tired and it's not even 11pm here, but I think I will do some more "dumb surfin' " then I'm actually gonna hit the sack. Getting tired of doin nothing. But it doesn't matter really, I'm on vacation and when you're on vacation you're allowed to do whatever.

A Shanghai Thursday
Woke up at 8am, but thought it was only 7....since my phone suddenly decided to change time, so started to chech my email and what not. Then I looked at the time on my computer and realized it was 8.15 and not 7.15...great, run into the shower and got ready for another day of work in the office. I didn't have tim to have breakfast so I ran down to the lady outside the buildning to buy these tasty pancakes....yummie! A pancake, an ice tea and a paper with the address in Chinees I got a hold of a cab. 15 minutes later I was in the office. Spent the whole day with the accountant and some sales people. Then @ 4pm, they closed down all their computers and had a small cocktail "party" since it's holiday tomorrow and they wanted to have a small get together for about 1 hour. As soon as I receive all th epics from Sarah I will post a few on the staff too.
Then at 5.50 I jumped into a cab to this party we planned to attend, normally the taxi ride would be 15-20minutes...but rush hour as it is...it took me freakin 1 hour and 15 minutes.Geeez, guess if I where mad and tired. Well at the party we had some nice bbq and some drinks...now a feeeew hours later, we're home...picked up some chinees food and getting ready to pass out!

A day @ Transas Shanghai
Got up @ 8 this morning, so I could go to the office we have in Shanghai. The taxi ride there took about 20 minutes through the city and cost 39 kronor..talk about cheap! The start rate when you take a taxi is 11 but before it even starts to add up money, you have probably already driven 10 blocks or so...at least. Imagine if it was cheap like this in Sweden to take a cab, then I would take a cab to work every morning instead of having a car.
For luch we went to this buildning, 2nd floor and had this amazing chinees food. The best so far o this trip, but I only been here for 2,5 day so I still have a few places to visit and taste their food. lol.
I held training on Microsoft Navision for the staff in the Shanghai office today, 10 people trying to understand what Navision is all about...they did well I have to say. Tomorrow I will go back to have a second day, most of all for the accountant but also some Microsoft CRM and Navision training for the tech guys. I wonder how I should have time for all this...only time will tell.
And now I'm going to surf for bags, we found a tailor that can tailor make shoes and bags for about 500 per piece...so now I need some inspiration. You got any ideas?

Qipu Lu Market
Or what the name was...this is where we spent 6 hours today, shopping and arguing about prices...lol. I have to say that I'm very surprised how the Chinees people must always be the first in line...or, to be correct no line at all, just puch until your first. Like on the bus, I saw 15 people trying to get on the bus at the same time, ushing eachother...It was not even half full the bus, so I'm not sure what the deal was. And geez, I don't think I ever seen so much people at one place...they are everywere! And some people don't seem to understand we don't want a personal shopper...haha. Following us, waiting outside a shop until we're finished, keep walking and talking to us. We ignore them, they still walk in front of us talking...in Chinees.
I found a KFC for lunch and guess if I was happy...I love fried chicken (btw, I had fried chicken every day when I was in Seattle in January). After lunch we went back for more shopping. I would take some pics and post here, but someone forgot the cord in Sweden, so transferring the pics from the cam to the computer is impossible right now. Clever me, yeah I know.
Just emailed KLM about my lost Ipod too, I don't think they will find it...who would hand in a found ipod? Maybe if one of the staff finds it, but naw, i don't have any bigger hopes about it. But still, I don't want to spend money on e new ipod when I had a good, fully functional, working ipod. Or to be more exact, I don't have any money to buy a new one, I think that has to wait until after the summer. Geez, I can't manage that long...Goint to the Mac store where I can find the real deal!

So I changed back to my Swedish SIM to charge the phone and it's working. I gotta take a look at that tomorrow. Me and electronics...great combo...not!

First day in Shanghai
Ni hao!!!! Hi, on Chinees is what that means. The weather is perfect for jeans and a t-shirt, or tight and a dress that is. Arrived at 10am, local time, but my brain and body was wtill set on the Swedish time, 4am....couldn't sleep mayn hours on the plane, not as I am use to. So once at the house, we had some noodles and I got to take a nap. Unfortunatley I don't have the coord so I can tgransfer any pics from my camera to the cumputer, so you have to wait until I get home...soooorry about that. Or feel sorry about me that I lost mhy ipod in the airport in Amsterdam. It must have been there cause I ad it there and then next time I looked for it, on the plane up in the air, it was gone! Crap crap crap!!!

Shanghai tomorrow
Tomoorow I'm outta here!!! 2 weeks of nice vacation in Shanghai, China. Can it be better? No I don't think so. Even though I'm pretty much broke, I'll get some of my saving cause this will be a trip to remember. So today, packing the bag, cleaning the apartment and moving stuff into my new kitchen. I have to go and get some stuff for the Swedish people in Shanghai, got orders for Grillkrydda, Bearnaisesås and smågodis...hehe.
Next time I write, I'm in China!!!

Ok, so I made another unbelievable not smart move...I booked a trip to Marseille June 12-20. Not that it's a bad choice, but just a bad timing since I'm kinda broke...again. Too many trips and too much shopping. Yeah, I gotta stop. But this trip that was not possible to turn down. I gotta tell myself that this will be the last trip in a loooooong while, othrewise I gotta start finding myself a second job, to finace all this. LOL. Naw, not really, I'm just enjoying life and my friends.

This weekend I'm in Stockholm...wohoooo!
Visiting my best friend Julia. Had some indian food yesterday, which I normally don't like, but it was kinda yummie. lol.Anyways, lucky me and Anton got a ride with M, and I got a ride all the way to Fryshuset, where we saw 08 beat Solna. It was a really good game and I finally got to meet Mr.J...lol. Good pick Julia. Now we got hit the town, so lata folks!

I feel grrrrrrrreat and tired
After a weekend with major shopping, a soft jazz club, a musical, good food and wine and a lot less money in the wallet, we got up at 3.30am and was back in G-burg arount 10am. Man I thought I was going to fall asleep at work, but we managed good. Ok, I'm so beat now so Imma go to bed...I'll update this tomorrow!

Skiing in NY
Yesterday me and Jenn took off to NY for some skiing. Man it was so much fun. So here's some pics from our crazy day!!! It was a perfect day, no people, blue sky and perfect snow and runs.
By the way, we walked 3 blocks downtown Erie with our goggles on, from the parking lot to Jenn's house...hahahah, don't worry, you couldn't tell it was us, exept Alex. lol.

Superbowl in PA
First time ever seing a football game, I was in the right state, Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh Steeles won. For not being a big football fan, I really enjoyed the game and it was too much fun to watch. I even got the rules explained to me, several times. lol.

The lost bag is now found
After 2 days waiting I finally got my second luggage back. I've been wearing Jenns stuff all the time and now finally I got my shit. lol. And my phones been dead since the chargers been in the lost suitcase, so now finally people can get in touch with me again. Holla!

SEATTLE, FORT LAUDERDALE and ERIE
Seattle!!!! I just love being bere...what more can I say? I'm gonna miss this place. But as a comfort I will be travelling to Florida, Fort Lauderdale and will get some sun. Or at least see some sun, since I have meetings all Friday and my flight to Buffalo, NY departures at 5.30pm. Travel travel travel. Those frequent flyer miles I say. lol. And I can't wait until Friday @ the airport when Jenn comes pick me up. Yay!!!!
Now I gotta pack and set the alarm on 4.45 AM, since my flight is early as hell...uuuuh!

Back in the States
Friday I worked until 10.15 pm, you probably think, what a life...and so do I. lol. We just had a lot of things that needed to be done so me and S stayed realy late, but we got a few things cleared out so that was good. And after I got home, I started to pack, cleaned my house, did the dishes, pay my bills and then all sudden it was 3 am and I didn't want to bother go to bed, cause I thought I'd might oversleep, so I stayed up all night! Guess if I was tired in Amsterdam, where I waited for 5 hours. Man, I think I fell aslepp as soon as I sat down. But the good thing was that the flight was super fast, cause I slept probably 9 out of 10,5 hours on the plane.
We arrived 1 hour early in Seattle so I had to wait in SEATAC for an hour to be picked up, but that was ok, for once no stress. LOL. It always feel so good being in Seattle, this is the 4th time I'm in Seattle in 13 months. I love the city! Then I had to take a nap for about 3 hours and then I was good to go out. Me, PA, Chase, LJ and Shaz went to Babaloo to listen to some live Jazz music, a very soft lounge place but we wanted the club, so we went down town (near PA's place) to Trinity, and that was a CLUB. Good music, a lot of people...a good mix of nationalities. When we got tired of the club, we went to Chase's place, played some XBOX and ordered some delivery pizza. Yummie!
Today, I was at Kennedy High School where PA's coaching football, and watched them all hoop. I didn't have my bball shoes with me so no hoopin for me, but if was fun watchin. Now I'm at the hotel, Mike came picked me up down town and I'm soon about to go to bed. I'm soooooo tired!

Home from Hemsedal
We were in Hemsedal (Norway) this weekend for some skiing and arrived back in Gothenburg around 3.30am this morning, due to the heavy snowing in Norway. So I didn't go to work until 11.00am...kinda tired!
I can't remember when I laughed so much the last time, my stomach hurts so much after all laughing. "1412 gjorde Glenn Hysen en riktigt revolt mot sin dåvarnade åsnefar, men så drog han till Grekland för en prostitutionskarriär men fick inte upp den" LMAO!!!! Only the ppl in our apartment in Hemsedal knows the meaning of this =)
