Awake with a head ache

I still thought it was midnight when I woke up, really happy that I just must have closed my eyes...but then I cam to think that I didn't fall asleep until 1 am...so, then I realized it was the Swedish time. Damn it, that means I gotta get up now. I'm so tired and I think I got a head ache. It's almost like I wanna jump on the plane and fly home now, just so I can sleep, lol. Not that I wanna leave, just sleep for like 12 hours =)

Beach dinner

They treat me so nice here, i don't wanna go home =) Today after work they took me to the beach for dinner...Imma post more pics and write more later, cause now I gotta get some sleep. Oh btw, I had a Tiger and Kilkenny beer, starting to like beer now =)

The view from the food court...See all the ship's so close?

Power down

Interesting, the power just went down and our internet too, lol. But we're back on track now =) I found some Ahlgrens bilar in my bag which I forgot that I had, yummi!

Good morning

Another day in this beautiful country...time to hit the shower, breakfast and then work! Like yesterday I planned to work out before work, but as you know I'm tired as hell...still. So no getting up in the morning for me to work out. Hopefully when I get home I'll hit the treadmill! To the ppl at home who are awake, go to sleep, lol. Nite nite!

On the Chair

I don't even dare to sit down on the bed, cause I know if I do...I will fall asleep. I'm sitting on a freaking chair, lol. Gotta be some sleeping pills in the bed which my body is absorbing, lol. But soon I will be allowed to sleep...since it's already 10pm =)

Mango Ice

Time to write about today's food, lol. Well, first of all, waking up this mornign, thinking that I over slept, cause the alarm clock was 09.02...and I was like SHIT. The Service Manager was supposed to pick me up at 8.45, so I jumped up the bed and got ready in 10min, just in case he was downstair waiting. Then I had to double check the time on my laptop since my cell phone is flippin' out every now and then, so I don't trust that the time is correct. And glad was I...it was only 8.10am...puh, that mean that I did have time to have breakfast, not e long one...more like running through the cafeteria to grab something to eat and then run down to the reception. Man, I made it, puh!

For lunch, I went with Celest, Yvonne and Yoanna to the food court which I love. And they choosed something new for me, which by the way was really tasty too. As you can see from this pic, there are so many different stops were you can get ur lunch. What you see here x 2...and it's only 3-4 Sing Dollar for a lunch (which is 15-20 SEK). What else can I say than I love it!

And for dessert, I got a Mango Ice...F'n Delicious!

Love being on this side of the world!

How tired can ya be?

Woke up at 10am today, since they stop to serve the breakfast at 10.30am, I had to set the alarm. Normally I wouldn't sleep that long, but since I didn't go to sleep around 4.30, I didn't wanna miss out the breakfast. Then I almost fell asleep in the room, but thought I might as well go outside and sleep for a while, you know get some tan. So I did, and man it was warm as hell. I found a miniature palm tree so I could have some shadow on my face. Most of the time it was cloudy but when the sun came out, I thought I'd melt away. But I sleept for 1-1,5 hour, then it started to rain...again. So I decided to work out, do some cardio. That was a good work out but I'm sweating like a pig once you stop moving, lol. Ang guess what I did after this...took a nap, not sure how long, but the cleaning lady woke me ringing the door bell. Yep, tired...again. After this I emailed some and watched a movie on the TV, with Chinees subtitles, lol. Of course I couldn't stay awake so I fell asleep AGAIN. This time when I woke up I was hungry, so I had dinner and surprise surprise, I fell asleep again. Now it's 9.45pm and I've been awake for 1 hour buuuuuut, I'm in bed about to sleep for the night. Yeah I know, I wonder how many hours I've been sleeping today?

12 hours in Singapore

What to say more than I start to love this city more and more. I met Jessy, Joyce & Johnny at Bugis Street for some shopping and I found some small gifts for the fam. Not sure how long we were walking around, but then we had a snack at one of the many small places were you can get snacks, like spring rolls, scewers, vegetables, fruit and 1 million other eatable things. After that we jumped on the Metro to another shopping mall, walked around there for some time and then ended up at this Japanees BBQ, dang, that was awesome too. We sat there for 2,5 hours and just ate.

(This is just round 1)

I wish that Sweden had good Asian restaurants like they have over here. For dessert, we "made" our own ice cream...man that took longer than eating it...fo sho! Complicated stuff, lol.

Then we walked for a while to another place, don't remember the name of it, where I took some nice pics over the city (with my new camera, yes).

(It's not a fake lawn, it is this perfect)

Then after the sight seeing (thank you Johnny), we took a cab to St-James Steet and hit a club. I was really impressed by the place we went to. Wish they had such place(s) back home with all these tables, without being VIP, but with whole bottles and soft drinks. And a stage with some cool kids singing and dancing to all new commercial music.

And in between, they placed only good dance hall music. Not so much new music, but good one! We had a bottle of JD, and that's what I drank the rest of the night. And I didn't even like that before. Now I have been drinking beer and whiskey, and NO wine. Well, one glass, but that's all. I'm learning over here, lol.

Thanks for all the fun guys!

It is now 4.14 am and I should sleep...so, nite nite!

Not a good idea

Now I'm back in my room, since it started to rain. One hour outside, since I'm having the day off, and it starts to rain...hmmmm. At least it's warm and not windy and cold, lol. Well, lesson learned, don't paint your nails outside when it's 33C (91F) degrees and the humidity is 70%. It dries too fast, and the nail polish itself is thicker than syrap now, lol. My nails are really ugly but what to do...my smart ass painted em' all and now I gotta look like this for the rest of the week, yaaaay!

Mad sweat

Dang, just came down from the exercise room and guess if I'm sweating. It's like sitting in a sauna, but now the AC is here. Hitting the shower now, then some breakfast, or more like brunch...then I was planning on going outside and lay under a sun umrella and sleep. Yep that's my plan for today, lol. Then later today Jessy and some of her friends will take me shopping, looking forward to that. Even though it's not cheap here I'm hoping to find something. But I don't have a problem shopping, I can always find something =)

IT Fair

Today I was at the biggest and craziest fair I even been to. The IT fair...OMG I never seen so many ppl at the same place, so many and so short. I was at least 2 heads taller than all these people, but I didn't mind. At least I could see where I was and see all the signs. If you are claustrofibic, no way in hell you would have stepped into this buildning. They even had security guars letting people on the escalators and people were waiting in line everywhere, it as bananaz! Imagine how hard the AC is working to cool down thousands of people on 6 floors, in 30C degrees heat outside...

This is just the entrance when It's not so crowded.

.

This is the Fair, looked like this straight ahead, behind you, to your right and to you left. People everywere and they were buying stuff like crazy.

I actually got a camera, a Casio Exilim EX-S12 Silver + 8GB. 299 SDollar, which is about 1500 SEK. I really needed a new digital camera, and since my last digital camera was bought here in Singapore in 2005, I might as well stay on the same track and get one now from Singapore again, lol.

Clay pot Chicken

I know I'm writing a lot about food when I'm out travelling, especially in Asia, but it's becuse you have so much good food here that you can't find in Europe. Today for lunch they took me to the same food court across the street, (which by the way I'd die for if we had a food court like that in Sweden), and I had some Clay pot cooked Chicken and Rice. Man that was so good, but every day I will try something new. You gotta try it all, lol. Now I'll get a coffee before we start working again!

Another morning on 23rd floor

I was going to hit the gym this morning at 6 AM, but I've been kinda jet lagged since I got here and hasn't been sleeping too well, so last night after the Korean BBQ I hot the bed and this morning I couldn't get up. Still tired as a m-f. Just had some breakfast down on 4th floor and now I'm ready for another day at our Singapore office. Today my 2 colleagues are going back to Sweden, so I'll be all alone for 5 more days. I guess I will be fine, but it would have been nice to have some dinner breakfast and dinner company. Well, time to leave, later folks!

Korean BBQ in Singapore

Just wrote THE longest entry here, but internet died on me, crap crap crap. Anyways, just got back to the hotel after the best Korean BBQ I ever had, love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melting away

We just had lunch and since no one wanted to drive, we had to cross 2 streets to get to the food court. Doesn't sound bad at all, but it's 34C degrees outside. You got your high heels and working cloths...basically not dressed for sweating like a pig, lol. Good to back in the AC...and the lunch, 3 Singapore dollars, that's 15 Swedish Kronor. I could live with that...and I just love Asian food and could eat it all day all night, lol. Yummie!

Working on my vacation in Spain

Yep, that's me...working on my vacation now in Spain, or more helping out a good friend to renovate his bar, that he just bought. He's opening in a few weeks/month (not really sure when) and I have too many weeks of vacation left @ work so I thought I might as well go here and help him out with the painting. Here's some before and after pictures...

The big area

The bar area

Starting to look like a bar now, doesn't it? So when you travel down south you have to go visit his lounge bar, DELUXE LOUNGE Bar in Benalmadena. I know that I'll be coming back to visit in the end of the summer with some friends. To see the place in action not just as a construction work place, lol. Now I'm done here, the painting is done and I can relax the last 1,5 day.

Along with the beach here in the Puerto Marina, I guess will be really crowded in the summer, and I hope when I come back in like, let's say September, the weather will be nice and we will go for a swim. Cause now it's a bit too cold. Yesterday it was only 10 C degrees, but this day when I took the pics, it was probably around 20 during the day.

And this morning, when we walked to the bar, all sea gulls were gathered at one place on the beach. It was like they only had permission to sit at this spot on the beach...I was really amazed and while I was walking forward, but still looking back at them, I almost fell over a big concrete block. But luckily I was carruing a bag and it hit the concrete block first and I got a wake up call and moved out of the way in last second. Man, imagine me falling over a big concrete block, dayme, me knee would have crushed...aaaaooooch!
.

Have a close look...♥

Paella & Sangria

That was the goal for tonight after a hard day working at the bar. But we had a pizza instead, stone oven baked italian pizza, and some red wine. That was tasty...so the paella and sangria will have to wait until another day. Most of the days it's been really nice weather, like 16-20 degrees, but today it was clody, rainy and a bil chilly. And ppl, don't think I have a great tan or so...I'm renovating a bar, meaning that I'm indoors painting, cleaning and taking down/putting up new ceiling...I was gonna post some pics, but since I'm not on my laptop I cannot transfer any pics. I will do that when I get home, show you the before and after pictures. Amazing what you have time to do in 7 days, that I say. Even though we're putting in several hours, sometimes more than normal office hours, it's not very tirering and I don't see this as work, it's fun, you don't have to think and you can wake up and go to sleep whenever you want. Vacation but some "free" work I would call it. My shoulders are sore and my feet are killing me. But the feet issue, that's old...from last weeks Boday attack, lol. Only 3 left days, then I'm heading home to Sweden...

Benalmadena

So, I'm here now, it's about 20 degrees outside and during the evenings about 16 outside. You could say it's very relaxing and comfortable weather. This is what it looks just right outside the Lounge bar.

I have some more pics on the iPhone, patience folks...

Back to work, gotta take down the roof now and keep painting!

Packing for Spain

Or at least trying to...not going so well, since I packed 1 big suitcase and 1 carry on. And planned to bring home a lot of Spanish food and some drinks for my bday party. Hmm, I think I have to re-pack and re-organize what to bring. haha. This is where I'm going:

You comin' too?

First I think I need to east sum, before I do anything more not so clever. My body is shaking, me and Vic went to a Kettlebell class and a Core class...damn, the legs is like hello parkinson. And since Vic is so sweet, she will drive me to the airport tomorrow at 5.30, BIG TIME THANK YOU! And I expect Anton to come pick me up since he's got my car while I'm gone =) Oh and talking abou the car, I just got it fixed for 5500 kronor. Yes, 1500 kronor for the trouble shooting and 4000 for the repair and new start engine. Man I'm so broke now!

Outside the borders

Is it allowed to go to sleep before 7 pm on Tuesdays?

I was just windering since last Tuesday I went to bed at 6.30 pm and now I'm about to fall asleep on my couch with the laptop in my knee...wow, how am I supposed to stay awake when I just wanna sleep?

And on the 4th or Feb, I'll go to Malaga, Spain for a 10 day vacation. Oh I can't wait...I'll be home just on time before my birthday, wohoooo! And I'm gettting some local drinks and spanish food, cause we're planning on Theme Spain for the party, lol. Then in April, it will probably be a roadtrip down in Eastern Europe...just a few 'small' things to take care of first, before everything is finalized. Oh I just love planning for being outside Sweden since travelling is da shit, lol.
